Welcome to Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in Heritage Sites, an online resource dedicated to exploring our history and culture.

Our Places

The Hän speaking group of people known as Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in lived and travelled in a large area of the Yukon River valley spanning the Yukon-Alaska border. Check out three of the sites that they visited during their seasonal round. Click on one of the circled headings to visit Black City, Forty Mile or Tr’ochëk. Find out how our use of these settlements changed after the Klondike Gold Rush years and learn about our enduring ties to these special places.
